Departments and agencies are responsible for the management of light-duty motor vehicles, which represent a significant capital and ongoing operational expense to the federal government. This introductory course explores the common guidelines, policies and best practices for the management of vehicles within the federal fleet. Participants will learn to define vehicle procurement in the federal government, outline the management and accountability structure for light-duty vehicles and provide details on the federal fleet greening initiative.

This course is open to all public servants and is recognized by the Certification Program for the Federal Government Procurement and Materiel Management Communities, which is managed by the Treasury Board Secretariat.
