The role of financial officers in the federal public service continues to evolve in step with a heightened focus on risk management, internal control, accountability and the need to demonstrate results for resources. This course expands on the concepts presented in the course Introduction to Risk Management (C210) and is designed to strengthen the abilities of financial officers to identify risks and manage them appropriately. Participants will learn about the role of the finance professional with respect to risk management, and how to apply the risk management process in a financial context.
