Everyone in the workplace can benefit from a basic understanding of how to work safely with electricity. This online self-paced course focuses on the common electrical hazards found in the workplace and the methods that minimize or eliminate those hazards. Participants will learn about the basic rules of electricity, common electrical safety issues, and actions to take in an electricity-related emergency.

Topics include:

  • identifying the components of an electrical circuit
  • understanding the effects of electricity on the body
  • recognizing and dealing with electrical hazards
  • responding to an emergency involving electrical shock or an electrical fire
