With its emphasis on continuous improvement and respect for people, the "lean" methodology shows great promise as a tool for building the culture of service excellence envisioned by Blueprint 2020. Its principles sound simple enough in theory, but in practice, implementing a lean approach involves nothing less than total transformation of the way the public service does business. Where do we begin this transformation, and how do we sustain it?
In this seminar, Mr. Dan Florizone, an award-winning innovator with extensive experience in charting the new frontier of lean government, will share practical insight into how to apply lean thinking to the public service context and explore the role of senior executives as agents of change.
