Active Offer: A Lot More than Hello! Bonjour!

Active offer starts with just two words: "Hello! Bonjour!" These simple words are an essential component of service excellence.

An active offer of service is an open invitation to the public to use one of our two official languages—English or French—when communicating with or receiving a service from the federal government. Active offer includes a bilingual greeting such as "Hello! Bonjour!" and visual cues, such as signs, that support this invitation.

This interactive workshop will go beyond the obligation of making an active offer and put the client's experience at the heart of the discussions. It will also touch on the many reasons why it is important to make an active offer. In addition, participants will explore practical tools for employees and managers to improve individual and team performance in terms of active offer.

This workshop is offered in partnership with the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages (OCOL). Would you like this workshop to be offered in your area? Please contact Françoise Albert from OCOL at francoise.albert@clo-ocol.gc.ca.
