The world in which the public service operates is continuing to change in fundamental ways. Our institution must be agile to anticipate and respond to the evolving needs of Canadians, now and in the future.
In his 20th Annual Report to the Prime Minister on the Public Service of Canada, the Clerk of the Privy Council and Head of the Public Service, Wayne G. Wouters, said that the public service needs a clear and shared vision of what it should be in the future. Over the past year, deputies have explored possible futures for the public service, and a vision has emerged from this work. Now, the Clerk is asking deputies to broaden the conversation to include all public servants.
