Power Chat on COVID-19 and Mental Health in the Workplace
The focus of this year's Mental Health Week (May 4–10) is social connection, a key protective factor for mental health. This is a timely theme, given the critical importance of maintaining relationships and connections in this time of physical distancing.
The current COVID-19 crisis is deeply affecting the emotional well-being of Canadians across the country, including federal public servants. To launch Mental Health Week in the public service, we will be holding a live virtual Q&A event. Expert panellists will answer your questions on how to maintain social connections while juggling personal responsibilities with professional duties, in atypical working conditions. The event will be held in separate English and French sessions.
This is the twelfth Power Chat co-organized by the Federal Workplace Well-Being Network (FWWN) and the Centre of Expertise on Mental Health in the Workplace, in cooperation with the Canada School of Public Service. The Power Chat series allows employees to explore the Federal Public Service Workplace Mental Health Strategy and ways to implement it.
