Director General, Blue Economy Policy, Fisheries and Oceans Canada
Darcy DeMarsico is the Director General, Blue Economy Policy at Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Previously, she worked to build globally competitive ecosystems in areas of Canadian technology leadership, through Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada's Innovation Superclusters Initiative and the Economic Strategy Tables. Before joining ISED, Darcy worked at Rideau Hall where, as Director of the Order of Canada, she helped celebrate extraordinary Canadians. She was Chief of Staff at the Federal Secretariat for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and managed Canada's post-conflict work to end the use of landmines in the Balkans. She is also on the Board of Ottawa's Centertown Community Health Centre.
Darcy holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and a B.A. Hons in Politics and Philosophy from Western University.
