Jean-François joined the Federal Public Service with the Department of Finance Canada, Tax Policy Branch, where he was involved in tax modeling and policy development related to business income tax. Jean-François joined the Canada Revenue Agency in December 2008 as Director of the Statistical Operations Division. He has since been involved in a number of key files related to information management, strategic research and analytics, business intelligence and data management. Since March 2019, Jean-François has been acting Director General of the Information and Data Directorate and was permanently appointed to the position on March 16, 2020.
Jean-François holds a Masters degree in both Economics and Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics all from the Université de Sherbrooke.
