Having a culturally competent, inclusive and supportive workforce is a priority for the Government of Canada. To this end, supporting the recruitment of new talent and the career paths of public servants everywhere, including Indigenous public servants, remains an important contributor to this end goal.
This informative event will highlight best practices for recruiting, retaining and supporting the career progression of Indigenous public servants. The event will feature a presentation on the Indigenous Career Pathways (an inventory of pre-qualified Indigenous talent and graduates) and the Indigenous Career Navigators Program, and will bring together inspiring testimonies from Indigenous public servants and leaders. Participants will learn about the tools available to provide career advice and guidance to Indigenous public servants, and the resources in place to help departmental hiring managers recruit Indigenous talent.
This event is presented in partnership with the Public Service Commission of Canada and the Knowledge Circle for Indigenous Inclusion.
