In celebration of International Women's Day 2021, the Canada School of Public Service hosted a fireside chat with Rumana Monzur, lawyer, human rights activist and domestic violence survivor. In this inspiring conversation, Rumana shared her leadership journey from losing her sight in 2011 from a horrendous act of domestic violence to being called to the bar in 2018 and now working as counsel at the Department of Justice.
Following this conversation and building on its themes, we hosted an interactive panel discussion that touched on personal and professional resilience, career development, and what our panelists see as the challenges facing women in leadership roles in the post-pandemic world.
