Leading at Home and Abroad
Join the Federal Youth Network (FYN) and the Defence Youth Network (DYN) to hear from Major-General Denis Thompson, who is retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces after a distinguished 39-year career.
Major-General Thompson will share his views and experience in an engaging discussion on leadership and conflict resolution in a multinational and multicultural context, both within the public service in Canada and abroad.
For the past three years, he led the 1,600-strong Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) in the Sinai, overseeing the 1979 Egyptian-Israeli Treaty of Peace. Prior to this, he was Commander of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) and Commander of Task Force Kandahar.
