Strengthening Indigenous Community Engagement: Pathways to Reconciliation
Support an inclusive vision that fosters trust, promotes reconciliation, strengthens relationships, and enhances collaboration within Atlantic Canada's Indigenous Communities.
This important learning event is a joint effort between several Federal departments and offers a unique opportunity to raise awareness of Indigenous history, rights, opportunities and challenges. Hear from Indigenous community leaders including Senator Daniel Christmas on topics that promote reconciliation and a brighter future for the next generation. In December 2016, Dan Christmas was appointed as the first Mi'kmaw senator of the Canadian Senate.
