Introduction to Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action #57 (TRC 57)

Do you know what TRC Call to Action #57 is? It refers to the responsibility of all federal departments to educate their employees on the history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, including their cultural and treaty rights.

Having endorsed the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Canada has committed to a nation-to-nation relationship that recognizes Indigenous Peoples as equal partners. By delivering on Call to Action #57, the Government of Canada is taking positive steps to a reconciled future.

Begin your journey to awareness by learning about the history of Indigenous Peoples and the responsible steps Canada is taking to renew this partnership. Join your colleagues in this opportunity to engage in the healing process.
