Virtual Town Hall on Accessibility: Employment of Persons with Disabilities in the Public Service

Description

As the largest employer in the country, the Government of Canada has nearly 300,000 employees from coast to coast to coast. Yet many persons with disabilities report that they do not have access to federal employment opportunities and that they face numerous barriers to entering and remaining in the public service, along with low promotion rates.

Join us for an update on the initiatives underway, as part of the Accessibility Strategy for the public service, to improve the recruitment, retention and promotion of persons with disabilities. Leaders in the field will share lessons learned and best practices and highlight unique challenges that need attention if the Government of Canada is to remain an employer of choice.
