Indigenous Awareness: Reconciliation and Community Consultation

Indigenous Awareness – Reconciliation and Community Consultation

The Government of Canada has a duty to consult and, where appropriate, accommodate Indigenous groups when it considers conduct that might adversely impact potential or established Aboriginal or treaty rights.

In an effort to increase awareness, the Canada School of Public Service and the Ontario Federal Council invite you to join us for a discussion about consultation protocols. Our panel of representatives from Indigenous Services Canada, the provincial Ministry of Indigenous Affairs, and the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation will share their best practices regarding engagement with Indigenous communities.
