[00:00:07] Hello. I'm Erica Vezeau, Director General of the Digital Academy here at the Canada School of Public Service.
[00:00:13] Cloud adoption has dramatically accelerated within the public service and for good reason. Cloud service can help us be more efficient, user-friendly, agile, and better able to scale our business, continuously improve, and manage security considerations.
[00:00:29] But migration to the cloud is not just the responsibility of our IT colleagues.
As a manager or executive in the Government of Canada, you need to be ready to make decisions about designing your programs and services in the cloud and to put cloud at the centre of your digital transformation strategies.
[00:00:46] By following this learning path, you've already interfaced with the School's new cloud-based learning platform which was launched in February 2022.
Since the school's business model is similar to other educational institutions in Canada and beyond, we opted to leverage cloud-based software as a service or SaaS when we replaced our old platform.
[00:01:07] The school's new SaaS solution allowed us to augment our security posture, to improve accessibility, and to deliver a better learner experience for over 275,000 Government of Canada employees - all with almost no change management necessary and now with an ability to continuously update and improve our platform as the learning needs of the public service changes.
[00:01:29] And the best part, we no longer have to maintain infrastructure or software, and you, your login is much simpler and accessible on any device.
