Courtney Amo joined the School as an executive faculty member in February 2022. She has been employed in the federal public service for over 20 years.
Courtney has held a variety of executive-level positions at the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), including Head of Evaluation and Chief Risk Officer, Director of Strategic Policy, and, most recently, acting Director General of Trade, Investment and Growth. Prior to joining ACOA in 2010, Courtney held management positions at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). She began her professional career at the University of Ottawa, engaging in community-based research and evaluation.
Courtney thrives on building strong teams and empowering individuals to do their best work. She is a skilled negotiator and facilitator, able to bring clarity and consensus to complex issues.
In her role at the School, Courtney supports public service leaders at all levels in developing their own authentic, sustainable approach to leadership, while continuing her own journey of discovery, growth and service.
