Phil Gratton is an associate faculty member at the Canada School of Public Service's Digital Academy, with a mission to help public servants and their leadership gain the knowledge, skills and mindsets required to flourish in the digital age.

He was previously the Director General of the Data Management Branch at the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), where he led teams of security practitioners in creating innovative and compliant data solutions in support of national security investigations.

He previously served as the CSIS Chief of Cyber, investigating threats from state and terrorist cyber actors. He has been involved in a broad range of national security investigations at the CSIS's national headquarters in Ottawa, in regional offices across the country, and in locations abroad. Phil is passionate about digital transformation and leadership under complexity.
