Faculty member: Nathalie Lévesque

Nathalie Lévesque has worked in various science, economic, and social federal government departments for the past 23 years. A communications enthusiast, she started her career carrying out projects dedicated to employment assistance, seniors, and professional development for youth. In addition to writing for several federal government spokespersons, Nathalie coordinated numerous events promoting the innovative entrepreneurship of Quebec companies.

In 2009, she charted a new professional course in information and privacy rights, managing access to information and privacy protection offices for various government departments. This eventually led her to a position at the Canadian Space Agency, where she was responsible for coordinating access to open data.

Nathalie believes that both the spirit and the letter of Canada's privacy and access to information laws must be applied to support government transparency.

Nathalie joined the Canada School of Public Service as a faculty member in 2022. She is keen to share not only her knowledge of access to information and privacy protection, but also her passion for and interest in effective communications.
